The Library’s Board of Trustees has an open seat for appointment that has an ending term date of May 2027*
*In September 2026 the Election Packet will be available. You’ll need to fill out all the necessary election paperwork, get signatures, etc to be placed on the April 2027 ballot. This is due mid-December 2026.
This is a volunteer unpaid position:
- Candidates must be registered to vote
- Must reside in Glenwood or Lynwood
- Must have a Glenwood-Lynwood Library Card

The Board meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 PM
If you are interested in applying for the position, please submit a résumé and a letter of interest explaining why you would like to serve as a Library Trustee. Materials may be emailed to Brian Vagt, Library Director, at vagtb@glpld.org, or dropped off in an envelope at the Circulation Desk.
The Library Director will forward all application materials to the Library Board of Trustees. If selected for an interview, the Board will ask the Library Director to schedule the interview during a regularly scheduled Library Board meeting. Following the interviews, the Library Board of Trustees will discuss the candidates and notify applicants of their decision.
Please note that submission of an application or participation in an interview does not guarantee appointment to the Library Board of Trustees.
