Hot Chocolate Spoons

6-7:30 p.m.

Warm up this January with delicious hot chocolate spoons stirred in your cup of cocoa or milk. You can make them ahead of time for your own use or give them away as gifts. Let’s make some together. Limit 20. Advanced registration required.

Zentangle for Teens

Wednesday, January 6 & 27, February 3 & 17
6-7 p.m.

Ignite your creativity and relax at the same time by practicing Zentangle method of mindful pattern drawing. Create your own tangle and Zentangle-inspired art in our library once a month. The pens and paper will be provided.

Arm Knitting

Saturday, January 9
2-4 p.m.

Arm knitting is all the rage, and it’s no surprise! It’s a quick and easy way to make warm and cozy winter accessories. In the time it time it takes to watch an episode of your favorite show, you can be ready to run out the door wearing your new scarf!  You don’t have to be a master knitter – novices can pick this up with ease. Secondly, there are no needles or hooks to bother with! All you need is yarn and your two arms.  Ages 16 and up.  Limit 15. Advance registration required.  Patron must purchase 2 skeins of bulky thread.

Newspaper Art

Are you a tween or teen who loves to create? Newspaper art is your chance to inspire your creativity.  Come with a friend have fun and make you special creative project.

ACT/SAT Changes

Thursday, February 18
6:30-7:30 p.m.

Early this year, the College Board announced the details of a massive redesign of the ACT/SAT. The updated ACT/SAT will feature significant changes designed to focus on a deeper understanding of the skills and knowledge necessary for college and career readiness. Students graduating in 2017 and after will benefit from this seminar as the new test rolls out in the spring of 2016. This program is presented in partnership with Sylvan Learning Center of Homewood.
