Getting a Library Card
Individuals who reside in Glenwood or Lynwood, with proof of residency, are eligible for a library card. Please bring a current photo ID and one current proof of residency to apply for a card.
P.O. Boxes are not accepted.
Individuals under the age of 18 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian present when applying for a library card, and they must sign as the responsible party on the card. This signature signifies their acceptance of responsibility for the return of all materials checked out on the card, payment of any fine incurred on the card and for any damage causes to the materials checked out. Parents must provide proper ID and have current proof of residency.
The patron's current library card, in good standing, must be presented to obtain materials. A patron whose card is lost or stolen should immediately report that information to the library. The patron is responsible for materials checked out prior to the card being reported lost or stolen.
Library cards are valid for three years, or until the patron moves from the library district. Cards will be renewed upon expiration if there are no current charges pending or overdues materials and with current photo ID and proof of address.
