New Features At Your Library Now

New Library Opens to Public
Monday, September 22nd at 9:00 am.
Library services will be suspended from
Friday August 29th to Sunday September 21st
to allow for the library to move.

New library facility will open to the public on Monday September 22nd at 9 am. The new library is located at 19901 Stony Island Avenue in Lynwood, about a ½ mile north of the intersection of Glenwo0d Dyer Road and Stony Island, on the east side of the street.

The current library at 320 Glenwood-Lansing Road will close it’s doors forever on Thursday August 28th at 8:00 pm. The library will be closed from August 29th through September 21st.to allow the movers, computer company and staff to get all the books, computers and furniture moved and in place and ready to be open to the public. We ask that everyone be patient while we complete this task.

The Chicago Heights (754-0323) and Homewood (798-0121) libraries will place interlibrary loan requests for Glenwood-Lynwood library card holders. You must have a non-expired library card to utilize these libraries. If you have fines that prevent you from using the libraries, you may pay the fines at any library. If your card is expired, you must wait until the library is open.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience while we are closed, but it will be worth it once you enter the new, larger facility.
